22-24 June 2017: TAKE HOME A PAGE OF HISTORY, at a great price.
The Royal Historical Society of Victoria’s (RHSV) Annual Book Sale will be held the last weekend in June at the RHSV headquarters. The sale will be open to the public on Saturday, 24 June from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and entry is free. This event is a fundraiser and the books will range in price, some starting as low as $1.00
A special preview night of the book sale will be held for RHSV members on Thursday, 22 June from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Memberships will be sold at the door for those interested in attending the preview night of the book sale.
The historical book sale will feature a huge assortment of books, both new and second-hand, as well as books that are signed, in mint condition, rare and/or out-of-print.
Some of the subjects of the books include:
• Sport
• WWI history
• Biographies
• Railways
• American history
• Genealogy
• Local history
• Australian history
• Ancient history
• Political history
Of special interest this year will be many books from the estate of the RHSV’s late, esteemed member, Doug Gunn who had an impressive collection of historical books, including many titles about Victorian local history, bushwalking, wild flora and fauna of Australia, land and sea exploration and most interestingly, his antiquarian book collection.

RHSV members: preview night Thursday 22 June 5-7pm;
Everyone else: Saturday 24 June 10-3;
