PASSPORT TO PLEASURE, IF YOU ARE A FELLOW PASSPORT COLLECTOR, or have a passing interest.
We have been contacted by Tom Topol, citizen of the United States of America, passport number unknown. But he has a lot of passports and acts as a control point for other collectors. His interest started in Japan in 2003 and he is now a collector, author and appraiser of passports.
With Tom’s encouragement we show you Passport collectors’ website.
We do have at least one collector of passports in the Society; we have tried to do some work on them. But part of the development of the passport makes this hard.
The oldest ones are personal documents signed off like a letter of introduction. They can be large, almost the size of an open tabloid newspaper.
You can learn a lot about them on Tom’s site; so have a look and we will provide you with links to stories of interest from time to time. Here is a link to a short post an images of Anna Pavlova’s passport – we of course claim a sweet Australian connection.
We are happy to use the website to alert you and others to places of interest. Let us know if you have any recommendations. Of course, we have no personal experience with Tom. It is always best to get a couple of opinions when you are seeking advice/selling/buying.
