From 1953, from ESA member JY, this had the indispensable back cover with a multitude of facts but mainly figures. The cover claims to speak for the universe albeit focusing on our globe.
Above, Universal has added to its theme in 1956 with Olympic torches around the name and class section, a champion year for Victorian and Australian school students – exercise a bit of a pun in the Olympic year.
More recent exercise and other school books have an Australian focus with the koala apparently must have a somewhat scholarly image.
This late 1990s/early 2000s’ exercise book has an even narrower focus, featuring paid advertising from local businesses.
