Debra Parry will share her expertise about the preservation of books and paper-based items, including photographs, documents, maps and posters. She formerly worked as a conservator for the National Archives of Australia, at Heritage Victoria, and at the National Museum of Cambodia, before setting up her own business, Melbourne Conservation Services. The GSV is the second oldest genealogical society in Australia. It offers a range of classes and information sessions and provides research support, including its own research library. The Society is now in new premises in Queen Street.
